FAQ
Q: Why don't you use whirlpool spa chairs?

A: We don’t use whirlpool spa chairs for pedicures at our salon. Research shows that when the pipes are not cleaned properly, bacteria, skin, and hair particles gather up in the pipes and can cause potentially dangerous infections. In order to prevent this outcome and maintain cleanliness, our pedicure tubs have plastic liners. The liner is thrown away after each customer, and this way you never need to worry if your pedi tub was cleaned properly or not.
Q: How do you clean your tools?

A: At Lunula, cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us. Every time that we provide a service for you, we open and use a new sterile pouch with supplies. After each use, all of our tools and instruments are autoclaved, which is a process where a medical-grade machine applies extraordinary heat to kill 100% of all microorganisms and organic matter in order to sterilize our equipment.

Q: What is crystal energy?

A: Crystals have been used throughout history for a variety of purposes. It is believed by many cultures that crystals work with the human energy field and can move, absorb, focus, direct, and diffuse energy within the body. Here at Lunula Nails and Wellness, we have infused crystals into our services as a reminder that universal energy is shared between all living forms.

Q: What is Ayurvedic Medicine and how is it related to your services?

A: Ayurvedic medicine (“Ayurveda” for short) is one of the world’s oldest holistic or “whole-body” healing systems. It was developed more than 3,000 years ago in India. It’s based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Here at Lunula Nails and Wellness, we believe in designing our services around those same principles and applying them to your experience with us.
